Booking and Payment

Locations

Full Session shoots can be anywhere on Okinawa main island (including all islands reachable without a boat, such as Sesoko Island or Ikei Island). Mini sessions are in Chatan, Kadena and Yomitan only. 

Procedures

After we’ve agreed on a shoot date and location, just pay online and you’re session is booked. Please see Terms below for information about cancellations.

The shoot itself usually takes a couple of hours. We might go to a few different spots at the chosen location and shoot at different setups. If there is more than one subject, we shoot some group shots (whole family, father and sons, mother and daughters, kids alone, kids with dog, etc) then some singles.

For a full session, we might aim to get 60 or so usable images to be edited later. A mini session might generate 20-30 images. The number delivered will depend on how many are included in the package and how many you select in addition at the agreed-upon rates.

Editing and Delivery

I will download all the images from the camera, cull any that are unusable due to technical or other issues and post the rest in a gallery on Dropbox. Once the gallery is posted, you will have one week to decide which images you want edited. I reserve the right to remove the gallery and select images myself if that one week deadline passes with no selections made. 

You choose which images you want me to edit (color correction, skin touch-ups, etc), up to the limit of your package. If you want additional images, you may select some at this time and pay (I’ll send a PayPal payment request via email). You are always welcome to pay for additional images later if you want more. 

It usually takes me about two weeks to edit and deliver the images. I will upload them to Dropbox and you can download them from there. A link will be provided.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice. Once you have booked, your price is locked in. All payments are received in Japanese yen.  

Cancellations

You can reschedule shoots with 48 hours notice. I cannot guarantee availability on any day unless we have set aside a rain day. More than one client may be scheduled on the same rain day.

Last-minute cancellations are possible in the event of illness or emergencies. A re-booking fee may be required to reschedule.

If the weather is lousy, we’ll reschedule. Lousy weather is defined as rain, excessive wind or skies that are so grey they aren’t worth photographing. Overcast skies often make for the best photos, as long as there is contrast in the clouds.

If you ghost me and don’t show up for the shoot, you don’t get a refund and if you later want to reschedule, you have to pay for another session.

Rights to Images

Photographer retains copyright ownership of all images. You get unlimited rights to usage and distribution, in all kinds of media, in perpetuity.

I will deliver high-resolution digital images only (in JPG format). You can print as many copies as you like, in whatever formats or media you like (for example, 8×10 desktop, t-shirt printing, etc.).

Unless otherwise explicitly agreed, I can use the images I shoot of you and others in your party on my website, and in all other media, including  but not limited to social media, and in my advertising.

The only restriction on my usage of the images is that I will not sell the rights to your images I have been paid to shoot to any third party.

Storage of Images

Please store the images in a very safe place, make multiple copies, and store them on different drives. Once I upload all of the images to the Dropbox folder and give you the link, all of my obligations to you are complete. While I may store images on my hard drives and other digital locations, I am under no contractual arrangement to store them for you nor to provide you with additional digital copies should yours become lost, get deleted or become corrupted.

Governing Contract

The terms on this page cover any shoot I undertake with any client unless otherwise specified. If an agreement has been executed in writing with a client or model, the terms of the written contract shall prevail.
